MYOVIEW™ is freeze-dried drug formulation that upon reconstitution with sodium [Tc-99m] pertechnetate¹¹ yields a preparation containing the lipophilic, cationic myocardial imaging agent Tc-99m-tetrofosmin.⁷

Chemistry
Tetrofosmin is [6,9-bis(2-ethoxyethyl)-3, 12-dioxa-6,9-diphosphatetradecane], which has structural formula of C₁₈H₄₀O₄P₂ (Figure 2).⁷

Physical Characteristics
Technetium-99m decays by isomeric transition with physical t_1/2 of 6.03 hours, emitting gamma 2 rays with a mean energy of 140.5eV.^7,11
